Concussion Inspires Gift to Emergency Department

6-year old Katherine Mazur recently celebrated her birthday, but in lieu of gifts, she collected donations, raising $480 for the Emergency Department. Her inspiration? She was playing hockey and suffered a concussion, which brought her to the ED. Once there she saw a huge sign on the wall in the waiting room that asked for donations. Katherine had such a good experience in the ED, she wanted to give back. She said she hopes it can buy a lot of popsicles!
Thanks to Katherine and the many people who supported her, her gift will be used to purchase equipment that can support the many patients who use our Emergency Department each year.
