Kyle Stroomer is a Physician Assistant at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. A hardworking and caring individual who strives to put others first before himself, Kyle is very dedicated to his career and is always supportive of staff and patient needs. He is knowledgeable in his work and demonstrates the many qualities needed to perform the job.
Kyle was selected by a review panel for an Individual Walk the Talk Award, which goes to an individual who inspires other employees to act in a positive and courteous manner toward patients, families, volunteers and fellow employees. He also demonstrates a commitment to patient care, the team and the organization, and acts as a mentor for new employees while demonstrating excellence contributing to the mission, vision & values of our Health Sciences Centre.
“The best part of my job is being able to interact with such a diverse group of people from all over the region,” said Kyle. “In my role as a Physician Assistant within the Hospitalist service, I am often one of the first care providers that patients and their families interact with. I love that I am able to help during a very difficult and challenging time for them as part of a large team providing the patient and family centered care that our Hospital is built upon.”
“I was honestly quite surprised to be nominated and then chosen for this award. I am surrounded by a very hard working and talented group of people that are doing incredible things on a daily basis. It feels great to be recognized and I really appreciate the support,” he said.
