Michael’s Hair Design and Day Spa is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and to celebrate, the team at Michael’s is asking residents of Northwestern Ontario to donate – in increments of $35 – to the Northern Cancer Fund, specifically for head and neck cancer.
“As a cancer survivor myself, I believe in the importance of giving back to the community and supporting local health care,” explains Michael Muia, owner of Michael’s Hair Design and Day Spa. “We are hoping that we can celebrate the 35th anniversary of Michael’s Hair Design and Day Spa, but also that we can inspire residents of Northwestern Ontario to give generously to ensure that we are able to continue to access exceptional cancer care. Funds raised will go directly to support the head and neck cancer treatment room at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. My other hope is that this creates increased awareness of head and neck cancer, as early detection is vital.”
