On May 16, 2018, members of Resolute Forest Products’ Thunder Bay management team and joint health and safety committee proudly presented a $10,000 cheque to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.

The Thunder Bay pulp and paper mill recently achieved a significant workplace safety milestone: 750,000 consecutive hours without a recordable injury. In recognition of this milestone, the mill was awarded $10,000 from Resolute’s Board of Directors Safety Award program to donate to a local organization chosen by its employees, through the joint health and safety committee, which represents both workers and management. The mill employees chose to support the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation and its Cardiovascular Surgery Program, which is bringing life-saving vascular and cardiac surgery to Northwestern Ontario.
