Meet our Volunteers: Lil Lovis

Lelia (Lil) Lovis is one of the many Health Sciences Centre and Foundation’s dedicated volunteers. Lil has been volunteering her time for 40 years simply because she loves to do it! Volunteering keeps her busy and, with a schedule like hers, it always has her out of the house. She’s currently spending her time charting for surgery, helping out in Surgical Daycare, and selling 50/50 tickets.
Apart from volunteering, her passion is her family, and she makes everyone here at the Hospital feel a part of it. We are so thankful to have such a dedicated and passionate volunteer like Lil. She is appreciated beyond measure.
Many other outstanding individuals volunteer their time with the Health Sciences Foundation. Their combined efforts help ensure the success of fundraising events and initiatives. Each volunteer is valued and celebrated as a champion of healthcare in our community. As a gesture of appreciation, the Health Sciences Foundation pairs with the Hospital to host volunteer appreciation events, including an awards reception each spring.
