Neurosurgical Unit Benefits From Christmas Eve Donation
January 2, 2019
The Neurosurgical Inpatient Unit at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre had a great reason to celebrate on Christmas Eve thanks to a generous donation of $1,750 made by Spencer Smith, a local Realtor and Contractor. Pictured accepting the donation with great thanks is Liane MacAskill, Manager, Surgical Unit C.
Spencer explained, “Throughout December, I donated a portion of my commission from the purchase and/or sale of homes to any charity of my clients’ choice. In this case, my client works in the Neurosurgical Unit and so I was honoured to make this donation to support the care patients receive here at the Hospital.”
Thanks to this donation, and many others made this holiday season, our community is working together to ensure we have better healthcare available for our families and friends here at home. Each donation supports the purchase of vital medical equipment throughout the Health Sciences Centre.
