This year, as in all previous years, funds raised from this event support prostate cancer care and research through the Northern Cancer Fund.
Always held the day before Father’s Day, the event is a perfect opportunity to celebrate men and encourage conversations about prostate cancer. Glenn Craig, President and CEO, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, said, “We have always held this event on Father’s Day weekend so we have a chance to focus on men and, most importantly, focus on keeping men healthy. We know that facing a cancer diagnosis is terrifying, but thanks to the longevity of this Ride, and the funds that have been raised, men in our community can have great hope and be assured that we have exceptional equipment here to diagnose and treat prostate cancer. That wouldn’t be possible without the loyal support of riders and passengers and sponsors that have been with us through the years. We’re very thankful for the ongoing enthusiasm our community has for this event.”
