Get to Know - Our Nephrologists!
Meet Dr. Armour Boake
A Nephrologist is a doctor who treats people with kidney disease. At Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Nephrologists see patients in the hospital setting and in their offices. After hours and on weekends an “on-call” Nephrologist can be reached through the Thunder Bay Answering Service. The Nephrologist monitors your kidney disease and creates a care plan with you based on your medical needs as well as your life circumstances to ensure you receive the best care possible.

Did you know you can support Nephrologists and the entire care team in our Renal Unit to provide better kidney care when you make a donation to the Renal Fund? Recently donors have funded new treatment chairs for patient comfort and safety, as well as equipment to provide the ultra-pure water that’s essential for dialysis, helping the almost 200 dialysis patients at the Health Sciences Centre. You can help! Donate at: healthsciencesfoundation.ca/donate and type ‘Renal Fund’ when making your donation. |
