Red Rock artist Colleen Rose has been using her talents to fundraise for the Northern Cancer Fund since 2014. Her most recent art print fundraiser sold out in less than 48 hours!
Now, Colleen is sharing her piece ‘Superior Shores’ to continue to bring exceptional cancer care to the people of Thunder Bay & Northwestern Ontario through the sale of her prints. Each print is personally signed and numbered by her, so each piece is truly unique and will make a wonderful addition to any home. All proceeds will be directed to the Northern Cancer Fund.
Colleen said: "I remember the day I took the picture that I used for Superior Shores. I was walking along the beach of Lake Superior, and the weather was beautiful. There was hardly any wind – just enough to help the water reach through the rocks on the shoreline. The sun was shining, casting the perfect light on the rocks allowing me to see the colours at their fullest. The rocky shoreline seemed like the perfect metaphor for so many of our experiences in our lives. The troubles we face are sometimes so difficult, but there is beauty found there too. Think about the people who are there for us when things get tough, who bake cookies and bring them by with a smile, who aren't afraid to laugh or cry with you, who keep you company when you're feeling alone. These are the beautiful moments that mean so much to me when life isn't so easy. And where there is beauty, there is hope."
